teernight.live (the “Site”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all readers, including people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our content and design. Many of our readers are facing serious illness or are caring for someone who is, and we recognise that low-friction, screen-reader-friendly content is especially important in this context.
1. Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
2. Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we work to:
- Use semantic HTML headings and landmarks for assistive-technology navigation.
- Provide meaningful alternative text for informative images.
- Ensure sufficient colour contrast for text and interactive elements.
- Make all interactive elements keyboard-accessible, with a visible focus indicator.
- Use plain language and clear structure, especially on health-information pages.
- Avoid relying solely on colour to convey information.
- Caption or describe non-decorative video and audio content where included.
- Test new templates with current screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Common areas where issues can occur include:
- Older articles with images that lack descriptive alternative text. We are reviewing and updating archives.
- Third-party embedded content (for example, video players, social posts, or advertisements served by third-party networks) whose accessibility we do not directly control.
- PDF or other downloadable documents that may not meet the same conformance level as our HTML content.
We are actively working to address these limitations.
4. Assistive Technology and Browser Compatibility
The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and with widely used assistive technologies, including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack), screen magnifiers, and voice-recognition software. If you experience an issue with a particular configuration, we want to know.
5. Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Site, or if you would like content provided in an alternative format, please contact us. Your feedback helps us identify and fix issues quickly.

6. Updates to This Statement
This Accessibility Statement will be updated as our practices, technologies, and conformance status evolve. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
